Aeron’s HVAC system will be an essential component of the ferry’s operations, providing energy-efficient heating, ventilation, and cooling across the entire vessel. From passenger areas to machinery spaces, the HVAC system is designed to maintain a stable and comfortable climate under all weather conditions, with low energy consumption and reduced environmental impact.
Lido Marine, specialists in maritime interior solutions, will install Aeron’s HVAC equipment, ensuring smooth integration and top-quality craftsmanship throughout the process. Their expertise will help guarantee that the system functions seamlessly within the vessel’s design and structure.
“We’re proud to supply the HVAC solutions that will ensure onboard comfort and efficiency for this groundbreaking hybrid ferry,” said Jan Kåre Hansen, Director Marine
The ferry, measuring 73.3 meters in length and 14.3 meters in width, will carry 50 cars and 199 passengers. Designed to run on electric power between Svolvær and Skrova, and in hybrid mode to Skutvik during the summer.
The ferry will be built by Western Baltija Shipbuilding in Lithuania, with a design provided by The Norwegian Ship Design Company. The vessel is expected to be operational by 2026.
